I love them. Although I keep it fairly simple. My neighbours? Well, they are pretty nuts about them, when we were chatting the other day one told me she'd just spent her last 30 bucks on yet another set lol. Do you partake in this noblest of traditions? |

No. Our tree has some built in flashing fibre optic things. That's as far is i go with Xmas lights. They do look nice though.

Nope. I've got a few torches, does that count?

I suppose if you flick them on and off a few times and wave some coloured cellophane in front of them.

That sounds like more effort than I'm prepared to put in. I quit!

Blinking rapidly at someone elses living room light from half a mile away works just as well..apparently @ kel

Ha. My ''tree'' has holes drilled in it and red lights stuffed inside it to shine out and I have another mannequin set up wearing a Santa hat and a white neon star and a single strand of icicles. My neighbours are giving me light envy though |

I hadn't zoomed in until you said that. That is quite possibly the best xmas tree I've ever seen

My neighbours always have competitions to see who can out-christmas the other. Last year one of them had a 7ft Santa on the roof and a flashing rudolf

I haven't put a tree up yet, but it will have a few lights on it, then probably one set hanging in the window and one across the fireplace and that's about it. None outside. I have some flashing stars and stuff but I use them all year round. I love fairy lights.

@ gt_tdi - 18.12.17 - 12:15am I hadn't zoomed in until you said that. That is quite possibly the best xmas tree I've ever seen I reckon last years was on par, it was upside down from the ceiling and then it got torn in half by busy little hands so was half in the ceiling and half stuck out the wall lol. I still haven't repaired the holes in my ceiling actually And considering all the painting I have done this year, that's really lazy come to think of it |
