@ dodgey - 28.06.18 - 10:58pm Gun laws need to be changed in America so nutcases are prevented from purchasing one. Will it happen though? Hmmm . No it wont. Uniformity of laws across the states may help. |

The gunman who shot dead five people and injured two others in Maryland's Capital Gazette newsroom had a long-running grudge against the newspaper after they exposed him for Facebook stalking a woman. Jarrod W. Ramos, 38, was armed with a shotgun and smoke grenades when he launched the attack on the journalists in their newsroom in Annapolis on Thursday afternoon. He was arrested shortly after police stormed the building. Ramos, who lives in Laurel, Maryland, had refused to identify himself to authorities in the aftermath of the shooting. A law enforcement official said he had to be identified using facial recognition technology after purposely damaging his fingerprints in what investigators believe was an attempt to prevent them from quickly identifying him. |

@ obi_jon - 29.06.18 - 01:06am 5 dead, a 20yr old white male suspect gave himself up to police and is in custody but has not yet been named. @ bozzalad - 29.06.18 - 10:56am seems you got hardly anything, right Apart from his age, which I simply got from a news report, it was entirely accurate. 5 deaths - accurate. I haven't seen any photos of the suspect yet but the last thing I read he was still being described as a white male, so accurate afaik. Has that changed or are you just assuming he isn't because of the hispanic sounding surname? Refused to co-operate - accurate. Damaged fingertips hoping to prevent identification - accurate. Your claim that I got 'hardly anything, right' -inaccurate. |
