I'm naturally against it, but for all the exceptions, like Dan. But it's a tin of worms, and realistically, being pro-choice is the only way forward. It's not something people do for fun. Yes, it gets abused, but I think that's for the people in question to live with. One thing though - this 24 weeks business... sorry but that's a full on baby. I want that halved. |

@ dan27notts - 21.05.18 - 10:25pm See i don't like this term 'pro choice' You had the 'choice' before you decided to have unprotected sex it isn't always as simple as that.... besides protection isn't a hundred percent .... I would rather someone had an abortion than to hear of another new born in a plastic bag... rather an aborton than a child growing up in an abusive home... rather an abortion before the child ending up on the streets.... rather a legal abortion than a back street botched up job that has disastrous effects.... |

there are more children than adoptive homes... not every child is guaranteed a safe loving home... and I guess for some it is better than wondering if your child got lucky or ended up a statistic

I agree with that sentiment myself which is why I'm against criminalizing abortion. The question I then have to ask myself is why don't I use the same argument for preventing child abuse and general hardship after the child is born. Why not kill children or even adults to save them from a life of abuse or hardship.

Ideally it wouldn't be at all.. But getting it halved would be a huge step in the right direction. I don't see how people can argue that three months isn't long enough.

@ katie.x3 - 21.05.18 - 11:02pm Sadly this will pass but I would vote no as abortion is mostly used as a method of contraception, condoms are there if u dont want a baby. the arguement for in case of r*pe is a very small percentage. Adoption is always an option as there are so many who would love a baby and cannot. I know girls who lost their babies and had to have the abortion process carried out. Disgusting Babies are often the easiest to adopt. Would you adopt an older child who may have issues because of their upbringing and would be harder work.... |
