@ ufohunter - 3.05.20 - 06:17pm You can't really hike here in my province (due to the high crime) But the west coast is perfect for that Haven't been there actually Just passed Kimberley by bus on way to Cape Town once or maybe by car on way to PE, where my Grandma used to live, I dunno exactly The E. Cape is just beautiful! The arid semi desert karoo region is just beautiful! Passed through there many times by car. Seen tortoises on the side of the road, there's also plenty of pr*ckly pear cactuses from your semi-arid region lol. Similar to the semi-desert SW of USA. My dad is from Uitenhage just outside PE, hence why we went there a lot. But ever sense my gran died our trips stopped His brother, and my one cousin, is just there atmo, sister, and my two girl cousins, are in Cape Town On my mom's side her sister, and my two make cousins are in Cape Town- a wine estate outside Stellenbosch Her brother, and my two other male cousins are in Pretoria, used to live in Windhoek Namibia My dad's brother who's outside PE, his other son, my cousin, lives currently in Canada, very near where that one user here lives - badboy something. Married an Indian South African, who's a doctor, went first to Ireland because of a job opportunity then to Canada He has two sons and one daughter - all Canadians lol |

@ dan27notts - 3.05.20 - 10:18am im thinking the same, cheaper hotels but more expensive flights. And all these people that have taken vouchers for the value of their cancelled flight will probably find they end up having to pay extra to take the flight in future because the price will be higher. Yes, basically. |

@ ufohunter - 3.05.20 - 06:10pm Cape Town is pretty cool but is way overrated lol (I'll get a slap for this lol) but living here right in the heart of SA, I've seen much more pleasant destinations.. ) We have so much.. deserts, canyons, waterfalls, mangrove swamps, exotic wildlife even.. It's the unheard of that's more elevating Were you the one who told me some wild animal walked passed your house? Thats amazing. I know as a tourist I wont get the same raw experiences, but I usually dig for it. I love both sides, so all the things you mentioned above Im sure is worth seeing. |

@ peta - 3.05.20 - 10:21pm Where? North West Province in South Africa Used to be one of the only holiday casino resorts in the country under Apartheid because gambling was outlawed, but was operated within Bophuthatswana, a Tswana homeland, like with Macau off China |

I love both sides, so all the things you mentioned above Im sure is worth seeing. There's guinea fowls, rock hyraxes, herons, all types of ducks, meerkats, mongeese, and the odd snake out on the golf course. (Chameleons became extinct by the time I was a few years old because of the regular seasonal bush fire burning - they stopped it a few years ago). Have a Nature Reserve nearby but people get mugged and sh*t there, even sexually assaulted hence why I state it's not safe for hiking in my province Yep. You like it raw lol Best one does their homework before visiting some place so you can get the maximised outcome I really need to get out more here lol So much sh*t to do I like animals.. thinking of getting a hamster or something so I can cuddle it lol My neighbours used to have tortoises in their back yard (as a pet). One guy has a shark tank. Few have aviaries Pretty cool lol |
