There are places where it's illegal to film the police and places where it's not but the police still do not like and may not appreciate being filmed. Its not illegal to film anything out in public apart from obviously pervy sh*t. |

I don't give a fk what they appreciate or not - i'm in a public place, i have a right to film it. Chances are i'm on film too, works both ways. |

a mate of mine is a film director for the bbc, i was talking to him one day about this kind of stuff, he said it is legal to film in public places, as long as you dont focus on an individual for more than 2 seconds, anything over 2 seconds and you need their written permission to use any footage. Whilst you are filming if anyone says you do not have my permission to film me, then you have to stop, as these ppl are using a mobile device that stores data then you can sue them under the data protection act. They have your image in data form, if they upload it to a social media site then they are breaking the law
