As you can see from this, much larger than I had expected gif, the fallout was heading in Saudi Arabia's direction.

Russia appears to have been actively covering up the seriousness of the accident, several radiation monitoring stations in the areas surrounding the accident site, which form part of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty(CTBT) organisation's global monitoring network, mysteriously went off-line in the hours following the event and remained silent for several days afterwards.

Of course they'll be a slight radiation spike . A top secret new isotope rocket propulsion system was destroyed in a test failure !. Don't expect anymore info than that. The secret thing should explain why. |

Watched a bit of 'Chernobyl' series. The Ruskies have a habit of covering up stuff, denial, suppression of truth and giving into the conspiracy of misinformation - let the populace be deceived by intensive propaganda campaigns. Cut off the people from any information or state secrets whatsoever. Let them believe that all is well. They need know nothing. The more lies people give into the difficulty in distinguishing truth from lies in the end. |

@ 3mel - 7.11.19 - 09:54pm is Russia gonna follow the Chinese model cutting off their section of the internet from the rest of the world ? http://youtu.be/iYggsw1TPJ0 Yes and it's already happening. They've been planning it for months and they were due to test their new RuNet systems last week(don't know if they did), it's been described as a 'national firewall' which allows them to filter/block any Internet traffic originating outside the country and includes a 'kill switch' facility which will allow them to isolate the Russian net entirely from the rest of the internet 'in an emergency'. http://www.rferl.org/a/explainer-russia-sovereign-internet-law-censorship-runet/30248442.html http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/russia-interenyet-kremlin-internet-sovereign-klimarev-a9178306.html |
