The world is an exponentially changing place thanks to the internet. People have more access to information that can both make life more convenient, but also save their life/health. On a personal level, being able to access information from all over the world does a huge service for personal growth. Socially, people are becoming more aware of differences between cultures and things become less scary and unknown and I think this is helping with a paradigm shift in society where people are more sensitive and accepting towards others. Also, the internet allows groups of people who are marginalised, to come together and make success for themselves. Politically, I think its bad news for those in power, and good news for everyone else. |
