@ obi_jon - 27.09.19 - 03:46pm Scientists '', erm how is that possible?'', as a giant planet is found orbiting a tiny star. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-49855058 http://science.sciencemag.org/content/365/6460/1441 ''The parent star, NGTS-1, is small, but not as small as this new example (GJ 3512). It could be that NGTS-1 represents the smallest star that can form close-in planets via core-accretion, and that smaller stars only form giant planets farther out by the gravitational collapse model favoured by the authors,'' said Prof Wheatley. ''With GJ 3512b, we now have an extraordinary candidate for a planet that could have emerged from the instability of a disc around a star with very little mass. This find prompts us to review our models.'' |

Same problem I found with http://www.globalsecurity.org Where you just want to browse each country's stats and info etc but have to pay to do all that. |

I can't believe that noone posted about the first all-female spacewalk that took place the other day.

I was going to, even copied a link ready to paste and everything, then logged on and forgot all about it.

@ cerberus611 - 21.10.19 - 04:40pm I can't believe that noone posted about the first all-female spacewalk that took place the other day. Did they stop halfway through for a natter? |
