Public toilets planned for the seaside town of Porthcawl include features aimed at curbing rough sleeping,vandalism and sexual activity. These features include weight sensitive floors to ensure one user at a time,violent movement which would activate a water jet to saok the user ,automatically open the doors and sound an alarm. Users would be able to use the toilet for only a fixed time. |

Doors opening,alarms going off. Women with kids moving about that sets off the alarms,water spray.People who need a carer to use the loo..the weight restriction may set off alarms etc. |

Hmm, here is one way it could really go wrong. A person experiencing cramping constipation goes to use that public privy, makes a stomp and instantly gets sprayed with cold water and is exposed to the public walking or driving by. I don't suppose that would cause more than irritation and embarrassment in good weather, but imagine that in that epic cold snap a few years ago. |

Perhaps if homelessness wasn't such a problem, people wouldn't be having to sleep in public toilets. Same old Britain. Protect house prices by strictly controlling the building of new homes. |
