It depends entirely on who I am communicating with ... there used to be etiquette rules about sign offs ...when you should use 'faithfully' 'sincerely ' etc But people used pens then ... |

I generally use the formal writing rules for signing off letters, I don't actually remember the last time I wrote a letter that wasn't formal in nature. If you start your letter with the recipient's name, i.e 'Dear Joe Bloggs', then you should always sign off with 'Your's Sincerely' before your signature. If you don't know the recipient's name and started with 'Dear Sir/Madam', then you sign off with 'Your's Faithfully'. |
