In a fairly recent news, a thief berated mom for leaving kid in car he stole. A car thief who found a toddler in the backseat of a stolen vehicle drove back and chastised the mother for leaving the child unattended before taking off again, police in Oregon said. The woman went into a grocery store about 15 feet from the car Saturday, leaving her 4-year-old child inside with the engine running and the vehicle unlocked, said Beaverton police spokesman Officer Matt Henderson. A store employee told authorities the woman was in the market for a few minutes before someone began driving away with the SUV. Once the thief realized the toddler was in the backseat, he drove back, berated the woman for leaving her child unattended, told the woman to take the child and drove away in the stolen vehicle. He actually lectured the mother for leaving the child in the car and threatened to call the police on her, Henderson said. Henderson said the woman did nothing wrong and was within sight and sound of the child. He said the incident served as a good reminder to take extra precaution with children. Obviously, we're thankful he brought the little one back and had the decency to do that, Henderson said. The vehicle was found a few hours later in Portland but police are still searching for the thief. The suspect was said to be in his 20s or 30s with dark brown or black braided hair and a multi-colored face mask. Police said anyone with information on the theft should contact the department. |

For sure he does. He is a scumbag who steals motors and anything else thats there for the taking. Just because he couldnt dump the child like he did the motor it dont make him a decent person but not a monster either.Yes the mother should not had left him in there but im sure its a mistake she will never do again. Unlike the piece of sc*m who took the car who will no doubt will steal countless others in his pathetic life. If he wants a car that bad why dont he buy one like normal decent people.

He might have been a thief, but he was a decent guy despite being a thief. Sorry, I just saw your reply now. |

of course he deserves to be in prison. he doesn't deserve an award for not dumping the child, not all thieves are murdering maniacs / kidnappers or would harm a child, but it doesn't mean they aren't criminals.

What about the mom who left her kid inside an unlocked car unaccompanied while it was running. Negligence maybe? |

wouldn't be a big problem to leave the kid in the car if people like him didn't exist .. anyway.. which hand are we cutting off ? |

We will decide the appropriate punishment in our Majlis-ash-Shura, brother. Kindly remember to come on time and do bring a meat cleaver and some extra paper towels just in case. |

i'm whipping the mother who had her car stolen also. you can't go leaving an accessible vehicle unattended with the keys in it. kid or no kid. it's a dangerous object. no different to a rifle in the wrong hands. |
