The Pentagon is pushing to create synthetic life forms, life changed at the genetic level to serve military purposes. The military envisions common marine microorganisms engineered to release telltale signs when enemy ships pass, living camouflage, and self-healing paint. |

I bet this is the least dangerous thing they are telling us about.. they could engineer anything now. They could make something that lays eggs inside you like HR Giger's Alien. It's only a matter of time and the world will be like some sci fi/horror nightmare.

I'm sure DARPA has all sorts of tricks up it's sleeves that we know nothing about but bioengineering projects aren't exactly a secret anymore and have been in commercial/industrial use for well over a decade already. There are goats that are genetically modified with a gene from a spider that causes them to produce cobweb style silk threads in their milk and various other animals like cows and pigs have been similarly modified to produce specific types of proteins and other hard to replicate substances for use in the pharmaceutical industry.

I can remember reading about pigs that have been bioengineered with jellyfish dna(for some reason that I don't recall) and glow in the dark mice that had also been fu*ked about with genetically.

@ 3mel - 10.03.24 - 09:04am they have flying spiders. Ballooning.. It floods, they make a silk parachute thing and escape to safety. But there are spiders that can glide from tree to tree in South America.. |
