@ wildfern - 30.04.24 - 12:51pm Imagine the embarrassment of strangers in shops knowing other folks personal circumstances if this voucher nonsense def gets the go ahead Exactly. As if the stigma isn't bad enough as it is. |

@ ogdenz - 30.04.24 - 01:17pm Once it's been applied to the PIP claimants it will be applied to all benefits claimants. When it was applied to asylum seekers there were many cases of the voucher users being verbally abused in shops by other customers. Asylum seekers/Aboriginals.. same difference right? They test it out on the people on the bottom rung first, then roll it out for the rest of them. |

@ shadow27 - 30.04.24 - 01:28pm A similar thing happened here with a welfare card thing they had. They tested it on the Aboriginals first, of course.. because nobody really cares about them. And yes, certain politicians had financial links to this Indue card, as far as I know. It's the same BS no matter where you go. That's not a coincidence, where'd ya think they got the idea? The Tories hired the exact same political strategists from Australia that had previously been advising your lot. They've even hired your former PM Tony Abbott to some top position. The hand of Murdoch I suspect. |

Also it divides working people against the unemployed, many working folk think PIP is just for unemployed people. They get angry when they see others getting something for nothing. Yet the same people cheer on a royal wedding.. Lol it's the oldest trick in the book. |

The hand of Murdoch I suspect. We copied conservative policies there in regards to the privatization of public utilities/transport etc in the mid 90's.. even though it was a failure as a policy, we copied it all just the same. |

Yeah about that. This person wasn't being 'sent' to Rwanda, they CHOSE to go there voluntarily, they travelled there on a regular commercial airline flight and recieved 3000 in resettlement expenses from the UK gov't for doing so. This was not even part of the government's highly publicised Rwanda migrant scheme, which won't be seeing any flights taking off until next week at the earliest. |
