It's wrong.... That people expect me to pay anything more than half the medicare rebate gap for abortions |

@ tazdevil - 13.10.16 - 07:30am It is not an easy choice, but if a woman feels it's right for her, then it is right. An adult woman requires no other person's consent except her own. I think it has to be that way, yeah. The female of any species can terminate by comitting suicide, that's the power she has. We have the ability to cheat that waste with fairly safe controlled abortion, but still, I doubt it's a decision commonly taken lightly. It's not just a baby, it's an adult given the chance, and a decendant of many generations of families. It's a neice/nephew, grandchild, sibling.. It's not an ill-fitting pair of jeans - If a woman has to make that painful decision, the last thing she needs is grief - she may suffer enough of that as it is... |

Personally I don't like it but I'm not naive enough to say it shouldn't happen. I think there's many circumstances which people make the hard choice to have one. I don't agree with people who keep getting pregnant and having abortions though. Use contraception.

If you get pregnant and don't want a baby then don't have a baby. It's bizarre that people would think you have to do that just because you had unprotected sex.

'Born' as in popped out a bag, but still the same thing? Breathing as in before or after the chord is cut? Does it turn from a foetus into a baby then, or.. At what point does the brain switch on? Only when it cries? Or when it's kicking? Or when it gets in distress during labour..? So many variables see, i'm struggling to pinpoint that time you seem to see so clearly..

Depends on the situation imo. If a woman is r*ped then yes she can have an abortion.

Personally, I think the time limit on abortions should be extended beyond the current 24 week limit.. preferably to about 10yrs.. you can't tell how much of a negative impact a 24wk old foetus will have on your life, but by age 10yrs, you should be able to figure out if they're worth keeping or not.. so quit getting rid of potentially good kids and just scrap the horrible ones..
