no payment as its an open source thing meaning the database will be open for anyone to use free of charge. They provide the sentences for you to read. Who knows in a year or 2 when a new voice recognition app comes out your voice may be part of the database ?

Mine varies. I first developed a brum accent, as I was born in Birmingham, to brummie parents. But by the time I was 5yo I was down here with a lone parent. Over the years my Londoner mates turned my accent. Now I just sound like a southern commoner - until I'm with someone with the accent, and then it just goes haywire on its own accord, and they think I'm taking the piss outta them. Mike Skinner, of The Streets, is the same. |
