@ 3mel - 4.06.19 - 12:51pm it was a homeless guy in that instance. Sorry lol didn't click on your link. Just generally pointing out what I've observed. Thanks to TV. Everyone seems to help themselves to 'gas' in America. I assume it's prepaid. They load the money and just enough gets filled in. |

I wrote out that he was homeless too before the link. some pumps take credit cards but they trust the majority to walk into the shop and pay afterward. they'll have your license number on camera if you drive off. |

@ 3mel - 4.06.19 - 12:35pm BEWARE: the story details here, woman on her own, petrol station, someone with little or no means financially ending in a gofundme... it's very similar to a story that turned out to be a scam in America. in that one a homeless guy gave his only 20 dollars to help a woman driving alone etc. some or all of them have jail time now. http://youtu.be/k_B2fUTeNi4 the thought did cross my mind tbh. no5 for now I just want to trust in the good of ppl. if it turns out to be a scam... then so be it. |

@ 3mel - 4.06.19 - 01:32pm I wrote out that he was homeless too before the link. some pumps take credit cards but they trust the majority to walk into the shop and pay afterward. they'll have your license number on camera if you drive off. That's crazy. Should be prepaid though. Everywhere. The attendants here expect you to tip them afterwards just for wiping the window, etc. They get paid for all that anyway, covered in the petrol money. |

@piggle | 4 June 19 | |
Sorry, what... Petrol attendant? Here I am, first world country and not a pump skivy in sight. Need to induce more poverty |
||
@sephiroth | 4 June 19 | |
..When the amount put in is more than enough, it refunds you back. There's this sensor built into the pump end that makes the system automatically switch off when it detects petrol is almost enough. |
