Watched Hostiles, a brutal film about the American West starring Christian Bale. Great acting from Bale and the lead Woman. Reminded me of lots of different westerns, not a film to watch for a bit of fun as it's quite bleak and not very cheerful. It was good I think if you like westerns. |

Settling in for a Kill Bill a thon soon. Somehow my eldest hasn't watched the second one, so that's our night sorted.

Watched You Were Never Really Here the other night, it's being compared to Taxi Driver and got to say it's not very visually brutal as the violence stays mainly off screen or out of focus. Great acting by Jaoqiun Phoenix who plays a character that has a violent past and also suffers from PTSD and he finds missing children at any means necessary like a gun for hire or hammer for hire in his case. It's a bit glum but it's a very good film. |

Watching the new Hellraiser movie, and honestly my expectations are so low I might actually like it.
