@ ogdenz - 13.08.19 - 04:03pm He has a saying 're Brexit, the politicians and the people who voted for it..Compassion for the conned and contempt for the con men. .something like that at least. I listened to him for years, I like him for the most part but being a dick to callers who haven't thought about the stuff they going to say is a trait that's grown in recent years. |

GMP Traffic responded to a question on Twitter about if it was legal to use Apple Pay at a drive-thru: If your engine is off and your handbrake applied and youre parked yes. If your engine is on NO. sounds odd pretty sure messing with your stereo whilst driving is an offense too |

Only heard him a few times. No need to be a di ck to people I agree ..no matter how frustrating it may become. |

@ 3mel - 13.08.19 - 03:30pm you don't have to think just listening to the radio, work calls especially can make you put your mind somewhere else. how bad that is I'm not sure, but it's more than listening to music. Music can easily take you somewhere else. Or say listening to a football match |

Am I wrong in thinking that anyone who can't, providing they're using a totally hands free communications system, hold a simple conversation whilst driving, probably shouldn't really be driving anyway. Perhaps it's something they could include in future driving tests, to weed out those that shouldn't really be on the road to start with that the current one obviously isn't. Are they going to tell airline pilots that they can't talk to air traffic controllers on the radio in case it breaks their concentration? Or ban formula 1 racing drivers from communicating with their race engineers over the radio at +200mph during a Grand Prix? Looking at it from another angle, instead of effectively banning drivers from talking out loud because some people can't do 2 relatively simple and not particularly conflicting things that are really no more difficult than walking and talking at the same time, why not simply introduce some simple additional safety features that i'm about to suggest for free to any motoring/mobile company that cares to make use of them. 1) Simply have an automated warning informing callers that the number they are calling is currently connected to an in-car hands free device and therefore the call recipient may be driving in said car, happening before the caller is connected, in order to warn them that the person they are calling may be driving and they should try not to distract them. 2) As or similar to 1) above but perhaps with some sort of limited connection time or option to leave a voice mail message instead. The tesco voice lady can even read my incoming txt messages out aloud if I let her. |

I think distracted driving has gone to far..I mean it's been going on ever since the model A.. Better yet, lower insurance rates, build special lanes for those who have to use their cell phones so they dont take innocent, compitent drivers with them in a crash.. Wont matter soon anyway with self driving vehicles |

Hmm, I guess they will next plan to remove radios from patrol cars.
