Thing is you are still dealing with 6 types of benefits when you roll them all into one. There's the Housing Benefit component,The ESA component etc..just coz they all come under the umbrella name of UC was never going to simplify it all.

If I say I'm going to have a ''Sunday roast''for my dinner does it become easier to make rather than if i said i'm going to have potatoes, beef, carrots, peas,Yorkshire pud..for my dinner?

Absolutely- its too complicated. Some people are entitled to less than others so its not a one size fits all. It was never gonna Work. It would take years to correct itself and in the meantime people are suffering.

Many people are being evicted from their homes due to landlords not waiting for the HB component to come through. Many folk can't get housing as more landlords than ever are refusing to rent to people claiming UC.

@ slwnoris - 16.06.18 - 04:04pm That a tory trick to get poorer people shackled with a mortgage, so they don't dare go on strike, if they do they lose there house and what little money they had invested in it. Same trick as right to buy, just a new title to the tory ddt(department dirty tricks) Noris taking liberties |

@ paibok - 15.06.18 - 08:28pm What is the real reason the tories brought this out? their excuse is always it makes the system simpler and it gets people into work but i don't think that's true. I am still on the old JSA system which is no good especially if I find a very short temp job with UC it's more flexible |
