@ birdy - 16.06.18 - 06:34pm Does anyone know of any ways to improve this or fix it altogether? It makes it hard to get sh*t done when I can't stop switching what I'm doing every few minutes. lol I kinda suffer from that as well. I have trouble focusing on what I'm doing because I get restless with all the distractions. Mild ADHD. It prevents me from watching long shows/movies or get sh*t done in one sitting. It's hard for me to keep my attention. The cure is to 'believe in yourself to finish' or whatever f*cking cheesy saying there is lol |

I'm quite the opposite, I'm incredibly focused, it's why I build stuff and fix stuff both at work and home. Loved art as a kid, I lived in whatever I was doing, and as an adult i always have a project on the go. Yet live a simple life, my head's always in a bubble, I don't tend to care about much else when I'm occupied.

@ birdy - 16.06.18 - 09:10pm Its more recently, I guess since my son got sick it's way worse than before, probably fuelled by a bit of anxiety. I don't wanna start taking something to fix something and causing something else that I need to fix. I've done that. Ok, but I will recommend still seeing a therapist about it. |

Distraction... It doesn't need complicated treatment. It's a simple concept. If that's the catalyst, as it sounds.

the joys of adhd, i find doing many things at once helps, or just creating an idea in your head. fk all this reward bollox! it's your will power in the end! still i do things that i really enjoy but get bored within 5 minutes and want to do something else. but always keep my brain active in some way, it's entirely down to the individual and id never take medication to solve the problem

my mind is a wonderful wanderer... I am a daydreamer and can get bored with ppl and things quickly if they don't stimulate my mind... on the other hand i am incredibky focused when sonething has to be done... i kike to do it and finish it so i can afford to zone out later. ... when I am focused I won't even stop to eat. |
