find yourself disagreeing with someone else's ideas or opinions just because of who its come from without really having taken the time to think over wat they've said. and let the fact that you think a certain way about this person mean that have to take a contrary position to then just out of sheer blood mindedness ? |

i've noticed this in myself a few times and wat seems to be several times with others in the real world and on here. its like ppl are not discussing a subject to get to a truth or clarity of understanding but more venting their likes and dislikes of others through the medium of of debate. it gets quite tiresome to watch.

3mel, i suggest that u look again. I disagree with eg Acts nd Kek on most things, even Gao, but there are many times i have stood up for them n agreed with their points.

wat brought this up tho is more generally seeing muslims who seem to a fixed view of wat its like in the ''western'' world and almost appear to be taking everything as a competitive matter between their cultures and ours. and so rather than hear wats being said n perhaps agree with it or accept it instead look for a counter arguement to throw back rather than have to yield in consensus
