Numan bin Bashir (May Allah bepleased with them) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion and sympathy are just like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. Commentary: This Hadith has the same purport which is mentioned in the previous Hadith. It says that Muslims are akin to a living person. When he feels pain in one of his eyes, for example, his entire body feels it. When he suffers from a headache, he feels its pain throughout his body. |

Quran 10:94 So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters. What does the Hadith say about this? |

@ trunking - 2.10.23 - 02:45pm Quran 10:94 So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters. What does the Hadith say about this? Thanks @Trunking for this question. Yip, this fact that people of the book (Christains/Jews) knows Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) is stated in both Quran and Hadith. Another Quran verse mentioned they even know him same as their children. (Those to whom We gave the Scripture know him (the Prphet) as they know their own sons. But indeed, a party of them conceal the truth while they know [it].) Quran 2.146 this type of knowldge is to both his name + attributes. --- Will try collate some Hadiths that confirms this |

Quran 2.146 this type of knowldge is to both his name + attributes. --- Will try collate some Hadiths that confirms this First narration by Mohammed in Isaac, that Ansar (Arab People in Madina) said: They said: In us, by God, and in them, meaning in the Ansar, in the Jews who were their neighbours: This story was revealed, meaning: (And when there came to them a book from God confirming what they had, and previously they were seeking victory against those who disbelieved, but when what they recognized came to them, they disbelieved in it) Quran 2.89. They said: We have been exalted in pre-Islamic times, and we are people of polytheism and they (Jews) are people of the Book. Jews announced: [b]Indeed, a prophet from [the prophets] is being sent. Now we will follow him. His time to be revealed has just to be. We will kill you with him in a manner that will kill and destroy you. When God sent His Messenger from the Quraysh [and we followed him], they disbelieved in him |

Abdullah bin Salam bin Al-Harith was a rabbi, one of the most prominent Jewish scholars of Banu Qaynuqa. Then he converted to Islam when the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to Medina. Al-Dhahabi said about him in his bios: The great Imam, acclaimed for Paradise, an ally of the Ansar, from the elite of the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. And peace be upon him. Al-Nawawi said about him: He was born from Yusuf bin Yaqoub bin Ishaq bin Ibrahim Al-Khalil, may God bless him and grant him peace. His name in pre-Islamic times was Husayn, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, called him Abdullah. He converted to Islam when the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to Medina. In the story of his conversion to Islam, may God be pleased with him, there is evidence of the Jews knowledge of the prophecy of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. --- |

Anas bin Malik, may God be pleased with him, he said: (Abdullah bin Salam was informed of the arrival of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, to Medina, so he came to him asking him about things. He said: I am asking you about three things that only a prophet knows: What is the first sign of the Hour? And what is the first food that the people of the Hour will eat? Paradise? And what is the matter with the childs inclination toward his father or his mother? He said: Gabriel told me about it earlier. Ibn Salam said: That is the enemy of the Jews from among the angels. He said: As for the first signs of the Hour, a fire will gather them from the east to the west, and as for the first food that the people of Paradise will eat, it will be an increased part of whale liver, and as for the child: if the mans fluid precedes the womans fluid, the child is removed, and if the womans fluid precedes the mans fluid, the child is removed. He said: I bear witness that there is no god but God and that you are the Messenger of God. He said: O Messenger of God, the Jews are a confused people, so ask them about me before I They knew that I was a Muslim, so the Jews came, and the Prophet, may Gods prayers and peace be upon him, said: Which man is Abdullah bin Salam among you?! They said: The best of us, the son of our best, the best of us, and the son of the best of us. Then the Prophet, may Gods prayers and peace be upon him, said: Have you seen that Abdullah bin Salam has converted to Islam?! They said: God protected him from that, so he repeated it to them and they said the same thing, so Abdullah came out to them and said: I bear witness that there is no god but God and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God. They said: Our evil and the son of our evil, and they belittled him. He said: This is what I feared, O Messenger of God) Narrated by Al-Bukhari |

Zaid bin Saanah (who was also one of the most prominent Jewish scholars ) said: There remained nothing of the signs of prophecy that I did not recognize in the face of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, when I looked at him, except for two that I did not tell about him: His kindness preceded his ignorance, and the severity of ignorance only increase his kindness. He said: So I was being kind to him because I mix with him and learn about his kindness and his ignorance. So he mentioned the story of how he gave money to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said: When the deadline had come, I went to him and took hold of his shirt and robe while he was at a funeral with his companions, and I looked at him with a harsh face and said: O Muhammad, will you not fulfill my rights?! By God, I have not taught you anything about Banu Abdul Muttalib except in retaliation. I looked at Omar and his eyes turned to his face, then he looked at me and said: O enemy of God, do you tell the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, what I hear and do to him what I see? If I had not been careful to blame him, I would have struck your head with my sword, while the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, looked at Omar calmly and deliberately. And he said: He and I were in need of something else from you, O Omar, for you to command me to perform well, and command him to follow it well. Take him, O Omar, and fulfil his due, and add twenty saa of dates, so he turned a Muslim.) Narrated by Al-Tabarani. -- note: saa' is someyhing like 2.5 - 3 kg. |

In the hadith of the Mother of the Believers, Safiyya, may God be pleased with her, when she described what took place between her father, Huyya ibn Akhtab, one of the great leaders and leaders of the Jews, and her uncle, and their knowledge of the truth and prophecy of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, she said: And I heard my uncle Abu Yasser, saying to my father, Huyya ibn Akhtab: Is it him? That is, that Muhammad is the awaited prophet? He said: Yes, by God. He said: Do you recognize him and confirm him? He said: Yes. He said: So what is in your heart about him? He said: Enmity with him, by God, is as long as it remains. --- Note: Safiyya is decending from the Prophet Aaron who is the brother of Prophet Moses (Peace be upon Them all) |

Abu Musa Al-Ashari (May Allah be pleased with him) said: A house in Al-Madinah was burnt with its occupants inside it one night. When this was reported to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) he said, Fire is your enemy. So, put it out before going to bed.'' [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. |
