If the Camera (im talking still pics) isnt too much of a big deal for him then go for the Galaxy-S, at this point its carrying the most powerful CPU/GPU chipset, there's tons of ROMs, games and apps, and its excellent for Social networking, web browsing, email and media as it can handle/decode 1080p video (no need for conversion, just throw it in and it will play).
