of the simple basic ways to update your fone there are 3. 1. take your fone to a Nokia care centre and ask them to update it free of charge. very simple that one. 2. go thru your menu and look for an option called sw update or device manager and if its allowed by your of network it can check to see if there are any updates it can download for you. the size is quite small usually 15-45mb's wen done this way.

3. requires a pc, use Google to search for and download Nokia software updater and install it on the pc. then using your cable plug in your FULLY CHARGED fone and follow the prompts given to you by nsu. you must make sure that the cable is not pulled out if the process is started or that the battery doesn't die as you can ruin your fone that way.

forget about firmware, leave your phone as it is. it wont change much anyway.
