because you can never truly delete anything apart from absolutely destroying the hardware.

that's a pointless answer. even if semi true, it has nothing to do with how the fone reports available memory..

oh but it does. When you 'delete' a file, all its doing is removing the pointer on the disk that addresses the file. The data is still there but can be written over. It may report lower storage space but rest assured it still has just as much as it did. It's just occupying data

@ 3mel - 24.07.13 - 11:11pm duck knows funny how you call my post pointless and you posted this the epitome of useful |

it simply doesn't do anything towards explaining the pw's problem does it. what I posted doesn't profess to be an answer either.

yes it does, if you have reading comprehension. The memory is still there even if its addressed to something else. If and when PW needs it, its there and can be written to and overwrite previous data that was occupying the disk space. So in other words, thats how memory acts. Its no big deal.

if the fone doesnt believe it has the available memory, it will not allow him to do anything else on it, so it is a big enough deal to need resolving.

I havent the time or the will to argue with you. Go educate yourself on how digital storage works then come back

I'm well aware of how memory works thanks... how can you not know I'm right, or is this your way of worming your way out when you know you're wrong?
