I am finally deciding to move from win XP to win 7 due to XP not supporting the latest version of adobe lightroom. My current setup with 1.6c2d and 2gig ram works well with photoshop CS6. Am wondering if I upgrade to win7 32bit version, will I c an increase or decrese in performance with my current hardware? Thanks |

You will mostly always see a decrease in performance moving up from xp, especially to vista, but your setup should hold up well in Win7. The 2gb ram will help alot, put more in if you can.

yeah I tried upgrading to vista in 2007 and it was almost unusable. downgraded back to XP and stayed with it as long as I could.

No No No. Win 7 is better than Vista in every way. Needed RAM is the same for both Vista and Win 7.

XP is good for all those old DOS games since it was the last Microsoft product to have a DOS emulator.
