building a gaming rig soon and want to know what you think is a good relatively inexpensive combo. Also, are the i5 Sandy Bridge any good? Arent they bundled with Intel 4000 integrated graphics? Any gpu similar to that so I can look at specs? |

Sandy bridge is hd 3000 ivy bridge is hd4000,I would suggest a i5 3570k with a Asus p8z77-v or the p8z77-lx which is slightly cheaper with a gtx 660ti or above, amazon n eBay do some quite good mobo and CPU bundles

yeh, I know that integrated graphics suck lol I've been looking at AMD FX-8320 and a few Intel i5's. I honestly don't need an i7, another i7 rather. Yeh, been looking at GTX 660 TI.

670s don't cost that much plus they use 256 bit gddr5 Instead of 192

I wouldnt be in any hurry now. The entire GPU and CPU scene will change this year as new generations arrive. It's not the greatest time to buy.

@ alvar89 - 2.01.13 - 12:08pm the i5 3570k destroys the amd fx 8350 not even close lol not only do the 8320 and 8350 beat it in benchmarks, they can overclock higher, more stable and they are cheaper. |
