I have a half way decent dual core laptop that works fairly well with quite a few Steam games, but a cooling pad and lower graphics settings are a must. What is a suprise is that on games like Team Fortress 2, is that I can play better than people with the best gaming PCs.

going from a console to a gaming laptop you will not need a powerful and expensive lappy. going from a gaming desktop is harder and lower framerate and settings will bother you. i wouldnt buy a gaming laptop under a gtx series nvidia or equalent amd gpu. a gtx 680m is expensive but a gtx 660m would do for me too.

latest games can be best experienced on bigger displays .anything under 17inch screen size will not do justice.

@ newt182 - 1.02.13 - 06:42pm You can hook your laptop up to your HDTV Yes, but I would have to buy an adapter for monitor out to hdmi out. |

Not mine, but I never claimed to have a gaming laptop either. But it does have a High Definition display.
