I have one sitting on my desk in a lego box Was used a micro server for a little bit .Currently has XBMC installed with the intentions of using it on my front room tc as samsung smart tv is very sluggish and basicly a waste of time and a gimmick in my opinion .

Its fun playing around with one and learning to program it as there is a lott you can do with little knowledge and there is also a massive community that helps you along the way should you get stuck . Avoid model a though as it is only 256mb . I have also had some old games running on it with good results . Looking forward to the OUYA thats coming soon which will be way more powerfull once its opened up .

I've got a first edition 256MB model that I got nearly a year ago and a week ago I just got the model B 512MB model. I've over clocked mine to 800 MHz and I plan to buy more Pi's and build a small multi CPU computer.

So far I've got various versions of Linux to run, XBMC, got a wireless mini keyboard, a wifi dongle, and just bought a cable so I can connect the Pi to my own projects. I need a decent screen next.

I've been reading the tutorials on the Adafruit site on Occidentals which is rasbian with library's for making the Pi control things with the GPIO pins. Also reading about SSH and remotely controlling the Pi over the Internet from another computer.
