Here's mine... I've modded it by fitting a cooling fan so it won't get too hot https://m.flickr.com//photos/nicktate/15966505555/ |

It's a small computer designed and manufactured by the Raspberry Pi Foundation running a Linux OS from an SD card. It's aimed at education and making projects but makes an excellent substitute for a PC, just abit slower. The CPU, RAM and GPU are on a single chip but the board also has 4x USB ports, Ethernet, HDMI, and audio connections.

i have 2 raspberry pi's one for my kodi or xbmc and one i used to use for my bitcoin miner, thou mining is no longer profitable so im just keeping it as a spare. i put heat sinks on my raspberry in the hope it keeps them a little cooler, i have seen cases with built in fans on ebay was gonna invest in one but iv never seen it get passed 50c when its busy running a hdmi film plus its switched on 24/7 and its over clocked to super turbo mode, which should be well within its capacity

It's amazing what you can do with it I had mine connected to a Samsung portable USB CD/DVD writer today . I was able to read files off data CD's. Also play music CDs and burn a movie file to a blank DVD. Next I want to get a Bluetooth adapter and then experiment with running the entire system off some solar panels. |
