I'm curious as to what is the current proper antivirus app to use in this day and age. Avira has stuck by me since back in the days it was the best free one out there. But also i had an ancient system that kaspersky slowed down to a halt. Is avira still good? Kaspersky still on top? What of Eset, bitdefender?? |

Thanks. Will stick to Avira and yes its light on system resources. One of those install and forget. Detection rate is also quite good based on my experience with it over the years.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for occasional scanning too. Avira comes (or used to come) with ASK Partner Network shyte without telling you. And run Spybot Search and Destroy by Safer-Networking once too for good measure. |
