I'm currently using an asus 960gtx strix 4gb gpu. Any advice please on what would be a good upgrade. I'm on an asus z170 pro gaming mb, i5 6600k cpu with a 750w psu. Budget will be around 300. Monitor is full HD but not g sync. Gaming wise I'm currently playing far cry primal and others like the witcher 3 and elder scrolls 5. What card would give me a noticeable improvement. Thanks |

Seeing the 1080ti pushed down prices and goes for almost the old price of the 1080 i would imagine it to be what the 1060 was.

Even the normal 1060 is a great card for its price. The 1070 should go much cheaper also but its better to wait for the next lineup now after AMD vega is out.

@ dom4subs - 6.03.17 - 05:25pm The 1060 is what I'm currently looking at but will it be a good upgrade from a 960 Its a huge jump but the bigger jump you make the better. 1060 is the sweetspot anything above will cost much and hurt when it get beaten by a cheaper new card |

I would of gotten the rx 480 or 1060 if i were to stick on 1080p. I upgraded to a 4k screen and i opted to go for a 1070 as that card is much easier to achieve smooth frames on that resolution. 1060 should be even good in running 1440p if you dont mind bringing down some settings.

I think it's going to be the 1060 unless the price of the 1070 drops a fair bit. But which 1060 to go for.

Try to get a 6gb version. The boardpartners are usually all good MSI, Asus, Gigabyte, Evga etc. So go for what you like more on the visual side seeing you are going for the looks on your build.

The 6gb is what I'm looking at, probably asus for its rgb as I do love 1 or 2 lights in my build
