@ norega - 22.10.17 - 05:48pm I am after a new case though ,Have been using Lian Li cases for about 20 years now as being aluminuim they are like a heatsink and are without doubt the best made cases you can buy , expensive but you get what you pay for . I never could invest in a quality case i always cheap out on that to push more into the components |

This far i feel i have a good chip seeing the voltage draw on overclock. If i had a big radiator i would be able to run 5ghz daily i am certain. Will delidd it maybe a year later then it does not feel so risky.

@ norega - 22.10.17 - 05:46pm Got a 1080 and the diffrence upgrading from a overcloked 1070 isnt that great . My cpu is nearly 3 years old so that will be my first upgrade ,will skip next gen graphics cards as i always go 2 generations now as the jump is just not worth the outlay as its not that great anymore . 1080ti has i bit more of a jump but also a bad upgrade from a 1070 definetly not worth the money. Next lineup might be if i sell the 1070 just to get decent frames in 4k. Too much messing with the settings now to reach 60fps. Would like to get atleast 3 years from a gpu. |

That z77 chipset and the 3770k just screamed for a upgrade being 5 years old. So many new features like nvme booting and slots etc. Plus the extra 2 cores are sweet with higher frequency. Also the twice as fast ram.

I have a corsair h100i v2 now and im disappointed in the oc. I just use the multicore enhancment mce and get under 70c in stress testing with low fanspeed. It is good actually gets all 6 cores to 4.7 and sometimes sticks to 4.3. Tried a manual 5ghz and it was h*tting 100c. Definetly need to delidd the chip.
