Chriatian parents have a vital role to play in shaping the future of their children. Academics gets priority in many homes. Parents force their children to perform beyond their ability leading to frustration and a sense of failure on both sides. Spiritual activities take a back seat. Yet we want our children to well behaved, matured, obedient to parents not given to worldly desires and so on.

Our churches should get young people to involve in spiritual activities. Potential leaders should be nurtured. Let us rescue our young people from the TV trap... Programmes on the silver screen are more attractive. They talk about name and fame. Is the church prepared for this?

The general Realities
-Fifty four percent of India's population is below 25 years.
-Only 10 percent of church goers are below 25 years.
-Twenty four million (2.3 percent) comprise the Christian (catholics included) population of India. Twelve million are young people.
Are we preparing our young people to be the future leaders of the church?

The Present Scenario
-Most youth fellowshipd are monotonous.
-Singing is traditional.
-Not much creative activities.
-Youth have little part in worship or other church activities in general.
-Many young people have been sucked into money or materials.
-There is a lack of christian education resulting in the lack of fear of God.
-Most parents have no time for their children.
