After various unsuccessful escape attempts_including faking insanity, attacking warders and even suicide attempts_the author decides enough is enough. Though full of pain and regrets, he hopes to change and develop a positive attitude towards life.. Now, during the process of rehabillitation, things go hey wire at the institution. Bad prison administration under Sergeant Kagi, tribalism and hatred between the inmates and the warders turns the prison into a massacre, reather cannibolous zone, where death is nothing new. Jack zollo handles it in his own best way as long as his best inmate friend and comforter, GG, is by his side

Apart from warning criminals and prospective criminals, the writter expresses his dissatisfaction in the way crime penality is conducted in kenya. The harsh mistreatment at Naivasha maximum security prison, he says, only makes a criminal tougher and more dengerous. He also educates us, the public, on how we can contribute to helping those who have dipped themselves into this pit...i know what they need_love and forgiveness from their fellow men.
