you are back

I met you when I was just a school girl in my last year; you were in uniform on the back of your stallion. Girls went crazy about you but you did not notice me; my dreams were of you and Spyker, your horse. You got married and I left after finished school. Years went past and I never saw you yet think of you all the time. Those broad shoulders and straight back while riding your horse through town; the proud attitude and the eagerness of catching thieves. I still remember when you and the stallion went through the shop after someone stole an old lady's bag. I will never forget the faces of the shoppers and management; you were the best tracker I have ever known. Now when I look at you I still see the spark of what you used to be but illness made you thin and that hurts; a ghost of what you used to be. Still walking with pride but very sick; the flames are still burning inside you; flames of wanting to be the best you can be but your body is broken. You were my very first love and will always have a special place in my heart.
