you make me smile again

For years I knew, nothing but tears, it seem so long, since my last good laugh. You were just a friend, someone I could talk to, someone I could share my pain with, someone I could really trust. When dad passed away, you were my hankerchief, when I broke up with my fiance, you were my pillar of strength. When I was homeless, again you were there, even now you take care of me, you are the best friend I could have. You make me smile, by the little things you say, the small things you do and the more serious things you tell me.
