They say shortcuts are dangerous but the longer route is just as deadly.The congested traffic raised alarm bells for me,and I didn't want to be late home.There was an accident and paramedics were already on the scene,I made a three point turn and decided to use the alternate route home.It wasn't too long when I realised something was wrong,I got out of the car,and saw the tyre on the passenger side flat.Changing a tyre was easy for me as I used to help my friend often and it suddenly became handy.I opened the boot of the car and was removing the spare tyre when I heard my name .Em,that's all it took for my body to freeze and before I could move two men overpowered me as I struggled against them.My legs bound with rope and my wrist tied up,a tape over my mouth so I could speak nor scream.I was shoved into the backseat of a car and tearfully watched in horror as the drove off. It wasn't a long drive but I was being taken away from the city as I could barely hear any sound of vehicles.Who were these men and what did they want from me?The person who called my name was not in the car.The man in the passenger side of the car spoke into his phone,Yes boss,we got her.I suddenly got scared, these men were working for someone.When the car stopped,the door opens and I found myself being carried into a building unknown to me.I kicked and thrashed about but it was futile.I was just getting them more angry.I was taken into a room,untied and shoved to a corner.I was terrified being alone. A while later I found myself huddled in the corner when I heard the door open.The man walked into the room and looked at me as if he was checking up on me whilst the other man offered me a glass of water.I slapped the water away from me.The other man got very angry with me.He came towards me and grabbed me by my neck,I felt him squeezing my neck till I couldn't breathe.Suddenly the door was flung open, someone entered.The man whose squeezing my neck was thrown back away from me.I started to cough.I heard shouting and arguing outside the door.When the door opened,my back was facing towards the door I simply said, thank you .When he spoke,You welcome,Em,I swung around facing my biggest fear. YOU!,I said and started backing away from him.Why was he here?Did he do this,bring me here?In the past I was never scared of him,this fear was new and scared me to death.I didn't know what he was capable of.I looked at him but he wasn't going to give me any explanation for his presence here.Surprised to see me Em?',he asked me.To hell with surprises,I didn't even want to see him near me.Yes,I said barely audibly.I watched him look at me from head to toe,I was becoming uncomfortable. Just as suddenly,he turned around and left the room.I heard someone lock the door from outside.He will be back,that I knew for sure.I needed to find a way to escape from him,and soon.I ran to the windows,but they wouldn't open,I tried the door again but it was still locked.Il just wait for someone to come inside and I would escape through the door.A short while later,a guy did come in with a tray laden with dinner,I waited for him to go into the room,to the corner away from the door,when I made a run towards the door.It was barely two steps outside the room,when I was heaved off the floor,and dragged back into the room. Let me go!,I screamed .I was being manhandled,he shoved me against the wall.Sorry boss,it was just a few seconds,the man was apologising to someone.I heard the door bang shut.Suddenly I saw a pair of boots in front of me,as I slowly looked up at the owners face,I wasn't shocked,as I expected him to return.He pulled me up,as I pulled away from him.Don't you dare touch me!,I shouted at him.I moved away from him.There was a time when you loved my hands on you,he told me.Was he crazy?I don't know what gave him the idea that I enjoyed being touched by him.You are pure evil,even if you were the devil himself,I wouldn't let you touch me,I spat at him.His eyes darkened and he looked at me as if he was instigating me in some way to anger or infuriate him. I didn't think so iether but was willing to try to change his mind somehow.Just the thought of him touching me sent shivers down my spine.I needed to remain calm.He pointed towards the dinner,Have your dinner,he said.I looked towards the table and realised that there were no knifes or fork,maybe they intentionally didn't give me any.I didn't want dinner,I didn't even want to be here.Id rather remain hungry than trust anything he gave me to eat.As soon as he left,I put all the food into the bin.I was angry,how dare he assume I would quietly eat my dinner?I was tired and sleepy,I crawled into the bed and fell asleep.When I awoke the next morning the room was bright with the sun shining through the blinds.Someone was in the room in the early hours of the morning.There was a pair of jeans and T-shirt on the bed.I quickly showered and put on the jeans and T-shirt.I was brushing my hair when I heard the door open.I was being served dinner and now breakfast like I was in a five star hotel.He walked into the room,his eyes grazing over my body as if looking for hidden daggers.It was as if my presence was a sore sight.I knew you would look good in them jeans and t.shirt ,he told me.I looked away trying to avoid any eye contact with him.Cut the small talk,why am I here?,I demanded.
