LMP 1/2 GT1/2. The LMP categories are defined by engine size and weights. LMP1 are usually a tad heavier but because they have the biggest engines and tanks. For a long time now GT1 and 2 have been pretty similar, with the main exception GT2 has to have conventional steel disc brakes. GT1 use carbon typically. GT2 is meant for novices really, and low budgets.

The LMP 1 cars are sweet really. I read about one of the peugeot drivers said that they are just like slightly sluggish F1 cars is all. Pretty impressive considering they run for all that length of time. saying that though the 9.8's have all self destrcuted lol

the audi that won the race average 140mph over the 24 hours which works out over 3000 miles. not bad

shame for the pug , wish tv coverage would show more of the gt classes , they just nutt hug the lead lmp cars all the time

im surprised they all blew. the peugeots were much faster but obviously this race isnt all about being the quickest. massive endurance from man and machine required. the 908 was flawless last year, this year abysmal.
