So guys, did any one of u hav updated firmware urself?.... I want to know, is it possible to update my phone offline  ... Coz, once I've updated the firmware myself a few years ago with my friends PC... He had bb connection and the whole process of NSU went through without noticing that it actually used the internet or not during the update... :) .... I dont have bb but I thought of downloading the NSU from cyber than update at my home... Is it possible???... Any other ideas?... |

I dont have much knowledge about flashing and firmware update... The only good experience was as mentioned above, I had successfully updated my phones firmware a few years back... But at that time I just went through by following the steps prompted on screen...lol... My phone now a days having some firmware issues, so....

Not possible offline....you need internet connection while updating....it first downloads firmware and then it installs....firmware is around 30mb

I think offline firmware upgrade is possible with nsu. Bcoz it need firmware data from the source internet. Offline upgr. Is possible with j.a.f. , phoenix,

U can use phoenix, bcoz it has no risk of phone dead. U can found it by google , in punder, 4shared, and another nokia sites.

I updated my cousins 5310xm from v3.x to v10.x using a edge connection by connecting 7210 supernova offline update is not possible though with nsu

Thanks for the info friends... I've heard of phoenix but never tried it... Is it a freeware?... And what else do I need to have or download to be able to update/flash my phone?

yesterday i flashed a dead 2700c to latest firmware with JAF got files using navifirm. so if you read some tutorials you can do it. :)
