Fiat uno turbo was hilarious though. The ones with polished alloys were alleged to sometimes spin their wheels inside their tyres

I would say it's possible. Lots of mad stuff happened in the 80's. One of my other fave stories involving a terrible car is the MG Maestro Turbo. They turned up the boost on the press cars to make them way faster than the production versions. The press were amazed how quick they were they often had the measure of 911's. Then they blew up.

i donno, coz if the wheel were to spin inside the tyre, the pressure would be lost as the seal would be broken, therefor the car wouldnt be able to drive. lol, i donno, thats just the picture i get in my head

If it happens it would be under heavy braking. The seal would not necessarily be broken. But it's just an interesting story I remember reading from a member of the motor press.
