About sis files, u again proved yourself a bit funny... Have I said that sis is not an archive?... SIS stands for Software Installation Script which is an installation archive containing .EXE or .APP files for symbian which can easily contain harmful auto executable viruses... Technically almost all installation files are archives even the EXE files, but whats the big deal on it... I dont know what u read or what u understood in this topic, but who cares....

I didnt read past page one of your garbage so I havent a clue what you called what. You plainly stated that a JVM cannot get/maintain/run a virus. Simply isnt true. Doesnt matter if they have to be ran by user. At my last count, viruses dont jump up and say, HEY! Im a virus! When they ask for permission Im sure some idiot would give them permission. So, indeed there are viruses for the Java 2 Micro Edition application layer. Perhaps it is you needing help finding something you are good at.

Also, dont try and tell me the schematics or makeup of a Symbian installation package. Im well aware of what they contain. Im a programmer in all C languages, Java, Python and also do some scripting as well. There are several outlined viruses/worms for J2ME. And were well before this post was ever created.

Just a question, since you claim to know so much, surely if you were going to be on a platform that was totally J2ME dependant, why dont you have Sony Ericsson? You are aware that Sony Ericsson's proprietary Java platform is superior to Nokia s40 in all ways correct? I love Nokia but the truth is the truth.

I just read a bit more of your garbage, Im well aware that most filetypes are archival, BUT I said, read by the file system. And .sis is not read by any file system. You must need a literacy course as well as evident by your lack of reading ability ![]() |

@ tophe - 4.02.12 - 06:03pm I didnt read past page one of your garbage so I havent a clue what you called what. You plainly stated that a JVM cannot get/maintain/run a virus. Simply isnt true. http://www.securelist.com/en/analysis/204792168/Mobile_Malware_Evolution_An_Overview_Part_4 Im not arguing with you fails any longer. Do a bit of research. Not only does malware exist for Java, its far more prevalent in J2ME than any other platform.
|

@funtikar | 5 February 12 |
more prevalent? lol its only because j2me is a widely used platform not because of any bugs or exploit and it highly depends on social engineering. more prevalent are the viruses in the s60v2 era

Stop your irrelevent comments... U are only proving your nonsense attitude with them... The points u raised are totally out of this topic, so u are already mixed up a lot... Just shut your stupid mouth and get a better job if you are not used to Java platform (dont say again that u are a programmer, no one is going to listen that with your such attitude)... Try your luck to become famous in other topics....
