I demand everyone to send their number to me when call so i know its a mate who would call cause they know the rule. As for that code it did work once but with certain conditions n handsets. If you always use 141 to witheld then num defo wont send. Most prankers would do that. Just relying on the phone setting 'number sending off' isnt a safe option for the pranker.

Just relying on the phone setting 'number sending off' isnt a safe option for the pranker. Why isnt that a safe option? Its the one i always use but not as a prankster, its so that i dont get stupid nomarks logging my number and ringing me back to sell me wallpaper, contracts or whomever else organisations they have sold my number to.

Well basically that code mentioned at the start of the topic actually worked for me... Cause the phone i tested to do a witheld call just with the 'number sending off' option active... No 141 prefix... Actually shown up the private number. This was a while back and did work with specific models and very few from what i remember... But i know most people if prank... Tend to use 141... Its safer for

The pranksters number. When doing the 141 prefix... That code can do jack really. Just try it with different phones. If i ever ring someone on private (which is hardly ever.) i would use both the 141 prefix and number sending option off... Id never just do number sending off.

The #30 code is nothing to do with the caller. It toggles whether YOUR number is hidden or shown. It is a network service. As is 141. 141 alone will not work on Virgin, you must enable hide ID

@frowzy is that network code apply for instance where i change sim? As at moment i've used the phone to auto hide number. I dont want to switch off cli direct from network as it will then work both ways and i wont receive any cid info from incomin calls.

Mmmm in india we have to tak prior permission from police to allow my service provider to hide my no then that certificate if we give to our service provider then he charges us n then we get our phone as privat no ![]() |

That toggle explanation is true yes but in my experience it shown a private number. But the same thing didnt work for most phones. It was a cr*p phone too.
