In a large part American society is a sham. They still are very much a divided country. The American civil war has never really ended. Just to add. Every mass shooting gets blamed on mental illness. This conveniently ignores every single other contributing factor. But its much easier to deal with this guy then all the problems disappear again. Until the next time. Mental illness is the answer everyone wants, so they just roll with that.

This murderer wasn't religious....it was about white supremacy. He posted a manifesto prior to shooting explaining why he was doing it. However I wouldn't be surprised if someone else was behind it, and coaching him. He was a drug using 9th grade drop out. The words of the manifesto just didn't sound like they came from this man.
