I gt a iPhone 4 and n I'm on 4.3.2 n I cnt update to iso5 for sum reason iTunes does let me and puts a error code on. Wot do u I it says d same fing for restore, sum1 help |

Put the device on DFU mode and try again. Normally that error occurs when there is a validation error from the Apple server.

Put in dfu mode and change your hosts file i did it as a restore not an update as it wouldnt let me had 3194 make sure you backup iphone ffirst

Basically a host file is what I tunes uses to connect to its servers if u change your host file u can trick iTunes by connecting it to cydia servers instead but u really need to read up on it the dev teams web site will explain it also tiny umbrella will change your host file 4 u

If you got windows go yo my computer windows/system32/drivers/etc open up host using notebook and if u got any entries with gs apple com delete it save file then redo but put phone in dfu then hit restore worked for ne
