buy airtime, stop stealing from virgin. They are the cheapest of all the providers 50c a meg, are you really that cheap?

50c a meg won't last,it's just for now, they will push it up to R2,just wait and see.

Ofc they will. Did you know they charge u for Uploading as well as downloading? I only fount out today after I've played UT online. d*mn crooks took 1rand per 1 MB download

For now its 50c its the cheapest of the shelf offering. Also every service uses both upload and download bandwidth usage to calculate total usage, I dont see why thats a surprise besides which you are doing something wrong if some how the entire download that you just made is being sent back to the server. What purpose would that serve?

gaming streams just as much data down as up. Making any cellular provider a Nono for such a task.

the same could be said for adsl or wireless or any setup where you pay for bandwidth usage. You pay for upload no matter what, if you have a cap like with adsl it counts towards your cap,if you are paying by the mb it counts toward the total usage. This is nothing new.

Virgin 'in principe',for 'normal' wap access charge only 50cent a meg, in reality is closer to 1rand thou and under 'special circumstances' even more. I don't have the time nor will to explain how it works. The way how you are billed it is decided by the upload/download speed. This has been implemented in order to avoid people talking VOIP ! Shortly more and more networks will work that way.
