I think family win . family guys kicks simpsons b*tt . the new episodes of the simpsons are extremly weak and unfunny however i also think the new episodes of family guy are very weak too . simpsons wos great season 1-8 and family guy wos great season 1 to about 3 maybe 4 Anyway tell me what u think |

Simpsons. The Simpsons was a ground breaking. Even by your logic The Simpsons is better because it had a longer run of stronger series, double Family Guy's run.

Family guy.  pushes boundaries on modern morals and ethics. Makes me belly laugh and feel a lil ashamed after wards for laughing at something so wrong. Ahhh what more could ya want.

You see I don't think this thing about Family guy pusshing things is anymore than a myth, certainly compared to other shows like South park. Family Guy is occasionally bad taste but that's it. The Simpsons was a huge step forward in terms of parodying politics and current affairs. Not forgetting it was one of the first shows to explode the myth of the perfect, functional family,

Ah but it's hardly a myth with episodes such as stewie the baby and brian the dog join the army and make out etc to get kicked out. Then there's thee not hiv but full blown aids song. Slightly tongue in cheek but hilariously funny all the same. There are many many examples.

Obviously it's down to a person's taste but I'd say it isn't as scathing as a south park and doesn't have the intellegence of a simpsons satire of 90's politics and culture. Personally I find Family Guy's humour as shock value that fails to actually shock and with little to no style in it's parodies of pop culture. I think time will tell and it'll be The Simpsons that's better remembered.

South park never tickled my fancy to be honest. Kids swearing not that humorous. Thee simpsons altho it started off quite promising basically turned into a soap. And shock value humour does have it's place in my heart. Peter griffin in a thong and sussies ahh long live family guy and long May ye reign lol
