What's the difference? Is it the same thing but with different speeds? Can you get HSDPA with a 3G phone? Can you get HSDPA anywhere where there's 3G?  |

HSDPA is an upgrade on 3G, you need a Hsdpa compatible phone to get the faster 3G.

most networks who have HSDPA have it on the entire 3G network, its a software update

HSDPA is just the same as 3g. Be aware tho that not all networks support it and the spped available varies... Check this link to find out bout coverage http://hspa.gsmworld.com/networks/default.asp?p=2s=con From experience, Orange UK say they have it but speeds are only about 65kbps and wont be at full whack til 2010!! T-mob have the best HSDPA coverage!

It works independantly of 3g but 2 get it u have 2 have 3g if that makes sense.

3G hits 65kbs, and you need to under atleast 3G coverage to connect to HSDPA, it runs on at 3.5G i think it is.

the phone must support HSDPA ...not every3g phone have it...its very fast...connected to pc...is fast like adsl...from 3.6 mb or evven 7 :D it dipends from your network

Your network must support HSDPA. Not all the tarifs have it except the more expensive ones.

HSDPA is a data carrier just like 3G and GPRS. Its Faster then 3G up 2 1.8 to 3.6Mbps. U need a compatible device and also your network must support it.

For instance. If i had a 3g hsdpa phone and used a dialup networking to get internet on my pc. Would i still be able to reach those lovely speeds? also i use bluetooth to connect

3g in kenya under safaricom is at 7.2mbps...on ur pc or phone u get aleast 1.2mbps...if its low its around 450kbps...

umm duno wot cr*p u talkn bout 5mpxcam bt 3G's connection speed is 384KB/S and max download speed is 48KB/S. 3.5G aka HSDPA connects at a speed of +-921.6KB/S and max download is around 115KB/S

Am on t-mob uk using sony k810i as modem what settings -just using free sim - if any do i need . I hav 3g symbal top of fone screen but in conection wizrd -pc- am just conected with the settings transferd frm phone ,at botem of screen iv got dialup tab or conect to 3g net but nevr used them i need faster web
