yay... Soon 3g is going to be launched in India .. Airtel will be the first to launch 3g service.. I know that because the booking 3g Airtel Iphone is already started... Airtel have done a Major upgrade in their server.... The download speed i was getting on my N73 is above 40 KBPS .. But sometimes only .

Jus coz they bringin iphone 3g doesnt mean they bringin 3g. And as for the capabilities,they have 3g infrastructure since long,its due to some technicalities they don't provide it. Anyways the rate shud be reasonable,otherwise wats the use,right?

I get upto 40kbps many times. Thats when number of gprs users in my area are less. Typically early morning

U mean to say only iphone hv right to use 3g.. We can use 3g for free as we are using gprs for free lol.

Hi Guys. How r u all. Was little bit busy i.e y not been here for so long.Yeah Airtel is bringing iphone to India but Voda will b the first to launch it.As far as 3G is concerned,v r not gonna have 3G in India before January 2009.

And 3G will surely gonna cost more.The main reasons are- 1.A majority of people are using handset having 2G or 2.5G and not 3G. 2.The companies have to pay more to the govt. A day ago it was in news that the base price for 3G spectrum auctioning has been increased to 2200 cr instead of 1500 cr.If they offer 3G at less cost,it will give them just loss.

The only way they can get customers is if they drive up the prices of 2 or 2.5G services and make them near or equal to 3G services.In that case customer will have no options left instead of going for 3G.

I'm not sure bout the pricing of 3G.It is just a suppositon and not the actual thing.Also one thing i have to tell people who are going to buy Apple iphone is they should learn all the things bout iphone, i mean what it has or what its not.I will post a link here which will tell u all things bout iphone.Wait for my next reply.

Yeah 3G will be launched in metro cities only in first phase and in 2nd and 3rd,it will cover other big cities.Good news for Haryana customers is that !dea will be the first operator to launch services in the state as !dea has already setup 3G network in state and they are waiting for spectrum as other operators are.

Yeah idea is first network who launched edge in India ... but still idea provides dump gprs ..

Apple Iphone .. Have services like 3g edge mp3 player safari browser touch screen bluetooth noooo.... Wifi but all the things which u want in a phone ... And very short battery life..

Well,the iphone is more than a yr old,and the 3g version is no diff,so ppl already know its pros and cons. But why buy a phone for 22k,when u get the same phone in the US for 8k

In 22k u can buy 2 N73 or a N95..
