It's a good sequel according to most reviews. And what I seen so far does look good especially as Eva Green is looking d*mn fine

they claim it's not a sequel or prequel as it takes place same time as 1st film... most reviewers have said if you liked the 1st you'll like this and if you didn't avoid... I liked the 1st so I'll definitely watch it but having Eva Green in it tops it off... IMAX incoming

I've seen it a few minutes ago, let me tell you guys something, if you're just looking for mindless violence, then forget this movie. Rise of an empire, as the name goes, focuses on the unification of the entire Greek empire against the Persians, this movie has less violence then the original, yet the storyline, and plot was excellent. The movie was slower, because it was developing a storyline that would go on in the third installment. I wasn't disappointed at all, and the 3D effects went amazingly along with the film. Shade, it is a sequel, whilst it's true, the first half occurs at the same time when Leonidas goes to war with Xerxes, the movie then goes on with Xerxes returning to another war against the Athenians.... Eva greens was smoking hot. I didn't like the protagonist much, but the violence made up for it, and of course Eva Greens again...  Xerxes was good too, his background story is told in detail.
